Fine game. Great game, even. Just not a good Dragon Age game. The tone is all wrong, Dragon Age has always been a Dark Fantasy RPG. This game misses out on the "dark" aspect. Everything is bright, everyone is upbeat and over the top positive about the horrible events taking place in the game. That's fine and dandy, but that isn't Dragon Age. I can't get invested in this when I know that everything is going to be a-ok. There aren't any stakes regarding to the choices you make when you know everything will come out peachy. This feels like Bioware played it as safe as they possibly could after the ME: Andromeda and Anthem flops.

The presentation, gameplay, and depth is still blown out of the water by previous Madden installments from over 10 years ago. It's sold as a "simulation" NFL game, but it plays like an arcade game. It's once again, mostly copy/pasted from last year's game. The sole focus of Madden has just become selling you Ultimate Team. They shove ads in game to get you to spend money on the Ultimate Team. News flash: Ultimate Team is not "simulation" football. I'm honestly suprised the NFL is OK with EA dragging their brand through the mud on a yearly basis, but the NFL has only cared money, so it's not suprising. But hey, it's slightly better than the pile of junk that was last year's Madden, so that's nice?

Live services suck, and the only thing keeping this game installed on my hard drive was the promise of PVE. With the cancelation of the PVE mode, there is simply no reason for me to even have it installed anymore. The game, if we can even call it that, is essentially a patch for Overwatch 1 that dropped team sizes by one and included night maps, which despite being the exact same, has been marketed as new maps. The in game shop is even more egregious, predatory, and anti-consumer. There is simply no content, and Blizzard seem to think making the game free and saying they're frustrated too is going to shield them from the criticism they've rightfully deserved.
