It was hard to watch a movie where Adam Sandler was really just a gross person. He’s guy-gross in most of his movies, but that’s normal level grossness. If guy-gross wasn’t normal, there would be no such thing as marriage and procreation.
In this movie he (the character) was just... gross-gross. No idea why that movie appealed to him; it couldn’t have been the fortune and fame because even the story is odd? How many people are curious about the life of a gambling addict jeweler?
I’m not going to say something cheesy like, “I was so disappointed!”
I just didn’t like the movie. A happier ending might have prevented this review. Seeing gross-gross Adam Sandler get blown away was no less painful than if I had seen guy-gross Adam Sandler blown away.
2 hours of my life I’ll never get back.
