Definitely one of the slowest moving movies you’ll ever watch. If a policeman behaved like Gyllenhaal character, he’d be fired very early in his career. Can’t recommend it at all.

Why is it that most of the male actors in this series seem to be buffoons and female actors have much depth and character? Is that a writer/Director problem or an acting problem?

For me, the grant county mystery books read about 3 1/2 stars. Faithless was a big disappointment – especially the ending. I know the characters are not supposed to be perfect, but come on!
The only thing that comes to mind in the climactic scene is total law enforcement incompetence.
