Damn! What a shame.! I must’ve seen over a hundred movies / series / docu-series, all on criminal investigations, and this one is the worst one I have seen so far. Literally. When I saw Jimmy Shergill on the poster, I was happy thinking I’ll be seeing him after a long, long time, and this time in my favourite of movie genres. But, boy! That was such a disappointment and how! Abysmal performance by everyone involved, be it the cast, or the script writers, or even the director himself. It was all sheer sloppiness from every single person involved in making this movie. They did not even try. And, please, don’t call this movie a ‘thriller’ because they literally forgot to add the ‘thrill’ there. And trust me, with better co-actors for Jimmy, and a better direction, this could’ve been a decent watch, since the plot was actually decent. But what ‘Operation Mayfair’ is, is a sad, but true representation of how badly one can fail. I wouldn’t suggest any one of you to watch it, even if you have ‘nuff time and nothing else to do. The movie is a total cringe-fest. I don’t even know why would Netflix suggest me this. Ugh! (P. S. Giving it one star because otherwise the review wouldn’t get posted. I wish there were any negative stars, I could’ve used those instead).
