Told in the first person, and seen through the young man's eyes, the narrative seamlessly incorporates the lore and mysticism of the /Xam (or San) people, the first South African people to inhabit the area, and explains the largely untold and untaught tragic history of this ancient race. A beautifully told, touching story, I really didn't want it to end so soon.
