Such a beautiful series. I was laughing from the first line but I was sobbing by the end of episode four and moist-eyed at moments in between. Some of the drama is a little far fetched but it's sensitively played by the core cast, and the locations are beautiful - I felt like I had been on the trip with them! Highly recommend.

Love the retro infills and the rehearsal room scenes are a joy! Cracking cast who fully inhabit their roles so that you just fall in love with all of them for different reasons and are willing them to succeed. Loved every second of it!

A glorious comedy-drama that really makes you sit up and think about the refugee situation in a whole new light, not to mention your local corner shop owner ;-) Beautifully written by Rufus Jones and performed by an incredible ensemble who work together brilliantly. If you missed it first time around then catch up now!! Sad to have finished it.
