The story has all the makings of a great hero movie. It quickly becomes a complete farce. Christian Bale does an excellent job at making the villain both fearsome and relatable. The writers seemed to think that Camp is in vogue, and the constant barrage of attempts at humor ruined this movie. No one in this film took any of it seriously, and it was obviously apparent. Thor is Marvel’s Superman, but it seems comic relief is what they want to portray. This movie, coupled with how they portrayed him in Endgame, will send The Mighty Thor to the multiverse of Bozo the clown. I give 2 stars for Christian Bale, and Natalie Portman who would both be bette off distancing themselves from this franchise. Otherwise two thumbs down.
