This documentary is focused on the grieving families of the 4 American servicemen who lost their lives in Niger. It seeks to fault American commanders and even President Trump for their deaths. It does offer a detailed account of the events of that day
In truth, it doesn't matter whether the team acted irrisponsibly or their commanders sought to avoid some responsibility or the details of their mission.
The fact is, they were headed back to base and were betrayed by a muslim village leader and then ambushed by muslim insurgents. It is towards these thugs that any anger should be directed.
The documentary briefly addresses the fact that circumstances on the ground mirror those in Afghanistan and other Middle East war zones. It is in this regard that this documentary could have been more meaningful. Islamist insurgents have turned large swaths of Africa into a nightmare for its people. Islam remains a threat to peace and human rights and nowhere in the world is this more obvious than on the continent of Africa.
