I'm a true crime addict but this was not gripping at all. The first two episodes were promising but then it really loses any momentum or intrigue, despite the attempts of atmosphere with 'eerie' music. I ended up stopping episode 4 and just reading up on the case as I was bored watching this. The producers have tried to draw too many episodes from the details. It's just a tedious slog whether you watch it dubbed, or in original language. Too much time watching the mother's hystrionics. The deviations into cop's personal life also give it the feel of a soap, or a day time tv melodrama.
Asunta's is a sad and important story and this dramatization doesn't do her justice.
Despite some (not all) good acting, the writing and direction means it falls flat as a docudrama.
