I just loved this story! It is about the 855 all-Black female 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion sent to Birmingham, England and to Rouen, France to organize and distribute over seven million packages and letters to GIs during WW II. Thanks to a movie and superb books like this one, people can experience vicariously the challenges faced and victories won. The three shift operation established for mail handling was pure genius. They were led by a great leader, Major Charity Adams. Like the movie, Hidden Figures, our country learns of outstanding contributions made by its African-Americans.
