This 'was' a great game back in the day, not so much now. I remember playing this 10 years ago and I was hooked on this for a long time. The community was huge, leveling up was fun, there was more variety of side games, more gear and stuff etc. 10 years on I decided to play it again on my PS5 just for the nostalgia, and boy I wish I hadn't. The community is bare minimal, considering I'm joined with other platforms. As your playing, all you're literally doing is grabbing a main quest, leveling up, teleporting (thanks to the free scrolls from every npc) killing a few bad guys, go to npc level up, teleport, bad guys, npc, level up,teleport, bad guys, npc, level up... I mean seriously, I'm currently level 42, 7 hours playtime and my boredom has left the chatroom. I seriously don't remember playing such a tedious game. It's really gone downhill. You're lucky I gave you 3 stars because I actually enjoyed the game 10 years ago.

I literally played this for 4 hours when I purchased it, felt encouraged to play fallout 4 instead, and still playing it now lol. Don't get me wrong the graphics are tidy but general gameplay and repetitive sites of the same dead bodies/ enemies got boring very quickly. Especially when most of the time I'm using an axe because ammo seems to be none existent. I don't feel any urge to play it again and I feel like I wasted £60. I wish I spent it on fallout 4 extras.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

As a huge final fantasy fan I was extremely disappointed with stranger of paradise. When I purchased this game, I literally played it for 10 minutes, and it really didn't entice me to play any further. I stuck it on ebay strait away. The graphics were shoddy considering its a ps5 game, the story came across as bland and boring, the battle system was generic. My journey with final fantasy started in 1997 playing one of the best titles ever made (FF7) then I played 8,9,10,6,5,4,13 and finaly 15. In my opinion I think the franchise went downhill after 9. I haven't liked any FF until 15 came out but even so it was a bit short lived and some side quests were pretty naff. Maybe I'm just being pedantic with stranger of paradise, but it's not the game for me, and I wouldn't recommend it if you're a hard-core FF lover.

I've lost count with how many times I played ff7 since 1997. It was the first game that really got me in to the RPG scene and kept me going through bad times in my life. Some people may not understand that but when the intro came up starting the remake it gave me goosebumps and gave me that buzz. I remember seeing the first bit of remake gameplay last year and I was the least to say worried it was going to be terrible with the combat system... I wasn't a big fan of 15 because of this (and the story was a bit naff). I'm only a few hours in to the game, currently at seventh heaven, and I really love the mechanics of the game. The weapon upgrade system is a cool feature, materia is pretty much spot on to the original with new types added. Graphics are fantastic, voice acting is decent, mini side quests are great, I love those in the ff series! Overall I'm impressed with the outcome. Yeah, I'm disappointed it's not the "Full remake" and other parts of the original game will come out later in life but people need to realise this is a massive game, developers have really put a lot of thought and detail in to this. Just remember a lot of elements had to be taken out from the original ff7 because it was a big enough game for it's time. But this time round those missing elements have been implemented in to the remake giving us a better insight to the full story that should of been told in 1997. I'm a sucker for final fantasy and if I gotta spend X amounts of money in the future for each segment of the story then so be it. Worth every penny. I'm greatful for square listening to their fans and doing what we've always wanted... please do an ff8 remake at some point *hint*
