Absolutely fantastic adaptation of the Legend of Mulan. I didn’t watch it with the mindset of comparing this live action version to Disney’s animated version. I watched it as if it were a retelling of the legend in a different manner. It’s kinda like watching a movie and then going to watch a play of the same story. I know going in that there are going to be differences but the heart of the story is the same. I think they did a wonderful job retelling the legend of Mulan with live actors. The heart of the story which comprises of loyalty, bravery, truth, and family still shine through. And, boy oh boy, does she kick the enemy to the curb!
