I hate this. Why did they change Bobbi's character design from the original novel? The whole plot revolves around Bobbi: how pretty and perfect she is compared to everyone around, how she and Frances look alike, and how her having fringes differentiates Bobbi from Frances. Without all these qualities, you're basically ruining the whole setup of how Frances feels inferior to Bobbi appearance-wise. To me, this was one of the most important factors of their dynamic so removing it essentially erases a core part of the plot.
Besides, Sally made Frances' character exactly similar to Marianne from Normal People, it feels like dejavu when you read/watch it so the only saving grace was the character of Bobbi and her chemistry with all the other characters. Without that, the story is a repeat and mediocre at best.
