HONEST NEUTRAL REVIEW:
Is it worth watching in theater? Definitely Yes! In fact it has to be watched in theater only!!
It's a great start for India when it comes to mystical superhero genre.. Don't try to look for historical or mythological accuracy, as it is not based on Indian history, rather inspired..
VFX was really outstanding, overall a spetacle! Music, background score were amazing! All the action sequences were extremely well-choreographed and balanced..
Out of all the actors, Mouni's Junoon, & the little kid playing Tenzing, were the best! Nagarjuna garu was superb in his small part as well..
The movie clearly showed the hard work of the entire team, under the leadership of Ayan Mukherjee..
Now coming to the negatives, the dialogues are the biggest turn off throughout the entire movie... Such a serious plot needed much more matured dialogues, which I don't know why was missing.. Probably they tried to make it sound cool to the GenZ, which didn't work..
Secondly, I personally didn't have any issue with the over emphasis on the love story part, but the character of Isha (Alia) lacked any kind of motivation & purpose.. NO SPOILER, but I was constantly waiting for some link or connection to fit Alia's character more into the plot, which ultimately didn't happen.. Hope they add some elements to her character in the 2nd part..
Coming back to overall review, I definitely liked it as I said, & will look forward to the New central characters & their backstories in the 2nd part..
The franchise has huge potential... Even Bahubali 1 was not at all a good movie on its own, which got 100x better in the 2nd part from character depth & screenplay perspective, and I want to see that kind of improvement in Brahmastra Part 2: Dev...
I want to keep my faith on Ayan & Team..
All the best!
