This book was truly a voice to me. I voice I don’t get a chance to hear, see, or read about often. I found this quite compelling; so much to the point that I wish I read this sooner, like around age 17. This book 10 years ago to me would remind myself that I am just as deserving of love like anyone else. I’ve always had the doubts of finding love being both fat and gay, and this book truly captured that mindset. Every feeling and emotion Felipe showcased throughout the fifteen days, I immediately understood. His thoughts and actions really resonated with me. It took reading this book to showcase how easy it was for me to root for Felipe to find love in Caio (as well as finding love within himself) that in my own life, I can do the same.
I highly recommend this book for those struggling with the same doubts in the LBGTQIA+ community. We all deserve love and this book will reassure you of that.
I look forward to reading more of Martins’ works.
