I note that the usual right- wing posters on this blog go full- on with the standard comments- ie "woke, left- wing " etc. This film is the creation of someone with a set of beliefs and ideas. What do these right- wing posters want? A world that reflects only their bigoted viewpoints or one where freedom of expression and creativity in a democratic society exists?
OK. This film is a product of contemporary society and reflects some aspects and viewpoints of this society. The Creative Arts have always been attacked by not only the right- wing but also the far left- wing- which makes the comment about it being left- wing somewhat ludicrous.
I enjoyed the movie. It reflects the Xmas spirit, warmth, humour, contemporary issues but most all all, human kindness. Surely, in a world desperately short of human kindness, even these Scrooge- like posters could acknowledge that message.
But no, tolerance cannot exist in their world for they can only see the world through their tunnel- like vision.
If you don't like something, why go on-line with your well- worn out and mean- minded comments?
I could, like Scrooge, say "bah humbug" but all I'll do is wish them a Merry Christmas- hopefully they'll find something kind to say about their fellow humans in this time of love, joy and compassion.
