I was born in the mid seventies(UK) and grew up with an awareness of MM.
Heard things about JFK but didn’t pay much attention - movie stars having flings with US Presidents in the 60s wasn’t a big thing for me.
Although I (and nobody else) will ever know the full truth, I believe there must be a fair degree of factual information in the film.
Although her Cuban accent slips very occasionally, Ana de Armas plays an unbelievable MM. The CGI work is superb and transitions from the films to real life effortlessly.
If, like me, you grew up knowing that MM was a super hot, got it all going, singing, dancing with the world at your feet kind of girl. Then watch this film. It’s sad and upsetting but I now appreciate Bernie Taupin’s words a lot more.
