I had a hate-Love relationship with this book. I hated that I understood why Evelyn did what she did to protect herself and her family. But god, did it kill me in the end.
It was like a best friend, a person who tells you all their secrets, and suddenly they are gone, and you are left with the acknowledgement page.
I love this book so much that I brought the special edition. I will hold it dearly to my heart.
