You can keep the old meteor garden, this reboot is funny, cute, I like the characters, yes I could have done without the forced kiss scene, but other than that I enjoyed it, I love caesar wu and Dylan wang in this and I like the fact that the bullying scenes weren't as bad as previous versions. I couldn't help comparing it to Hana Yori Dango, but its a good comparison in it that this version had a lot of extra character background along with the main characters backgrounds. I also didn't hate the main male leads mother as much. Yeah shancai doesn't have a brother but they make up for it by adding not one but 3 close friends. I admit I tried watching the Taiwanese meteor garden and meteor shower, but I couldn't get into them. But I recommend this one, certain things like soujiros should have been romance, which didn't really happen in the Japanese version and the elopement near the end made me happy. Im glad Ximen got over his past and ended up with Xiaoyou, they weren't perfect but they were my next favourite couple. Sorry for the spoilers people 🙂
