Ok so I have read 4 out of the 5 books in the series. I had just finished the fourth last night that being said I was even more pumped for the movie. But after I watched it in the theater it was dreadful. I loved the pick for the actors they matched the description of the characters almost to a t, but the movie was way to rushed. It seemed like they just wanted to get it over and done with. This is going to be a spoiler! After Noah had found out about Tessa and Hardin he had turned away and started towards his car. Tessa being Tessa follows him and said, " im so sorry wait! I'm confused..." the whole crowd started laughing when this was supposed to be a meaning full part in the book. The actress just said it so flatly it sounded as if it didn't matter that she was destroying her relationship with her boyfriend and best friend. No hate at all to the actress or anything she just didn't say it correctly. Also the ending was equally as dreadful. tessa had just found out about the bet when professor Soto gave her a paper wrote my Hardin, she had said it was probably ment for Tessa.(not to mention in the book the teacher is a male not a women same for Tristan) Hardin read it aloud in Tessa's mind and it brought a shot of Tessa at the lake. Hardin walked over to Tessa and sat down and the movie ended. Like what?! Obviously there is going to be a second movie, but still. Oh and zed basically had no point of being in the movie since he only said one sentence to Tessa in the whole movie. He and Hardin didn't even have any rivalry against each other! Molly, Landon, Karen, and ken all play a much bigger role in the book aswell. Hardin and Tessa only got into one fight in the entire movie. Wouldn't recommend it you are a fan of after. The books are by far superior! I love Anna Todd very much but I was expecting more, so much more. I wouldn't go as far as calling it trash but it wasn't worth the money I paid to see it at the movies. Oh I almost forgot! It was kinda obvious that the actors didn't read the books they just didn't have as much emotion and character while they were acting compared to their roles in the books.
