Well acted. But the plot was confusing with too many twists, turns and reverses. Allowing the leads to have flaws gives credibility to the story, but the characters need some kind of likeability. The humor was dark and the dialogue was weighed down by an abundance of obscenities. I would be careful who I recommended this movie to though it was well acted with an interesting story and non traditional view of rural Ireland.

Very slow and weird. Why does the main character use a snowmobile and a rifle when it's set in the future with interplanetary exploration with spaceships? Not sure what's wrong with the earth and where the heck did everyone go?

Moving story about the challenges that J.D. Vance faced growing up with poverty and with violence. Provides brutal yet empathetic portrait of family with a history of addiction and anger fighting to survive with loyalty and compassion. Not a pretty picture, but an honest one. Looks like the critics don't like it, but the viewers do.

Melissa McCarthy is always fun to watch, but it's not a very good movie. Jason Bateman is slyly funny and the actor who plays THE King is good. The actors save a mediocre, at best, script. Don't know how Octavia Spencer wandered onto the set, but she didn't add much. She deserves better.

Wonderful story of the joys, disappointments and dangers of immigration. Music and dancing great.

Very honest show told by people involved on both sides of the Troubles.
