This show is AMAZING!! The acting by the mother, Alex and her daughter, Maddy are just outstanding. It gives you a better understanding of what it's like to be trapped in an abusive relationship and the struggle of trying to get out of it. And being on a very tight budget! Andie MacDowell does an incredible job playing Alex's mother as does Nick who plays Sean. I think of Alex when I'm cleaning now because of how she isreally trying to get a better life for her and her daughter. And literally counting EVERY cent. It must be just draining having to leave in the middle of the night or anytime to escape. Maddy is such a trooper in this show. It is definitely A MUST WATCH!! Binge worthy for sure! 👍👍👍👍👍 Great job NETFLIX!

LOVE IT! My daughter (14 yrs) and I watch it together. Not nice to say Tyler's assistant is ugly. I don't think she's ugly , although I do agree a little hair would make a world of difference. Having said that, it appears that looks are not important. She is obviously very good at her job!
