Darkest Hour (2017) (name in reference to one of his speeches). Joe Wright did an incredible job in his representation of Churchill, they nailed his character, they brought him back to life, they captured the attitude and disposition , from his greatness (like his willingness to fight and patrotic and inspiracional speeches) to his flaws (like his heavy drinking and smoking and his overbearingness), so in his representation the movie is a masterpice, and because the movie is totally about his character this is to be praised, they also capture the opposition he faced even from the king (because Churchill supported the King's brother marring to a twice divorced American, which led to the abdication of the crown to him), the movie also mentions of Churchill's debate with Halifax, that said they do miss a few things like the date they make it look as if it happened in less time than in real life so the exact dates are wrong, also the V for Victory that reportadly started the next year during the blitz (masive alsmost apocaliptic like bombing of major British cities) talking about the blitz, the movie shows the war cabinet metting in the bunker, but the bunker wasn't used untill the blitz, when Dunkirk happened they did not use it so the movie gets that wrong also, also Churchill never even thought of peace negotiations, thus his "WE SHALL NEVER SURRENDER!!!!", or at least it was not recorded, Churchill did had some support in these debates, also there were no explosive arguments, also the set up for a rescue mission at Dunkirk was made when Chamberlaine was still in charge, also Churchill never asked for a name for the operation, also the King never went to Churchill during the evacuation, also the best scene in the movie the one were Churchill goes to the London Underground to talk to the English people to see there opinion on the situation, Churchill tells them about the peace talks with germany and they say they will NEVER do that, and a little girl also says never and Churchill aproaches and cries that all the people are willing to fight till the last to preserve the British Empier, he follows the belives of his people and he channels the energy into his Never Surrender Speech, and let's accept it people, we all cried in that scene at least I did, it was too touchy to resist, but we all know that did not happen Churchill was not a man of the people, but they could have put this as a dream it will have worked, well but the film is a pretty good and worth waching, they did an incredible job and just wach it it is awsome you should wach although the inaccuracy's the film is still a masterpice so go wach it you will love the expirince, byeeee
