I would have given this game a solid 4/5 stars if it weren't so short. The first one offered 60+ hours of gameplay and this one literally has half of that when you literally have twice the amount of characters to play as. You guys totally had the chance to have 2 separate narratives that could coincide into one long story and you kind of did that, but 90% is Peter's story and a few main story missions are played as Miles. Miles practically could have been an unlockable character from a DLC at that point, because that's how much it felt like he was involved. I like that there's more unique fighting styles but it's dumb when you can only play as one and can't switch characters mid fight. Another major flaw they totally could have capitalized on. The only real improvement is the new traversal which is super fun, so at least they got one thing right. I had such high hopes for this game because it got so many good reviews but I honestly couldn't be more disappointed. 80% to 90% of the games code can be copy and pasted from the other 2 games so it's utterly disgraceful to have put such minimal effort into the bulk of the actual game. It had all the potential to be a 5 star game if you guys focused on making the storyline longer, having Miles be more of a part of the main story, and not making it feel like a cheap copy and paste of the other 2. And somehow the Miles morales game is somehow LONGER THAN THIS ONE!!! I would have felt better and gave you guys a better rating if it cost $30 or less. If the game can't give me $1 per 1hr of main story gameplay, it's not worth it. Exactly why I hate Callisto Protocol. Can literally beat that game in an afternoon and this spiderman game can easily be done in a weekend

I've got to say I remembered this game being more fun. The missions don't feel like missions but rather errands that you're running for other people. They don't really add to the story or anything. Just "go grab this" or "kill this guy." The story is lacking substance, it's literally "we're looking for a vault" and none of the tasks we do drive us towards that goal. That and the fact there's like no cutscenes makes this game an absolute drag. It feels like the character is just walking back and forth the whole time killing the same 3 types of enemies..... bandits, skags, and rakks. Nothing else. Just bigger or smaller versions of those same 3 enemies. The absolute utter lack of dialogue except over walkie talkie (which also rarely happens) is completely unnerving. Nobody says anything except for a few repeating sentences. None of which are funny like in the other Borderlands. At least in the others the bandits would crack some funny one liners here and there but they just scream at you in this one... STOP MAKING ENEMIES BULLET SPONGES AS WELL!!!!! I SWEAR IT LITERALLY TAKES TEN THOUSAND GODDAMN EFFING BULLETS TO TAKE ON NORMAL GUYS!!! INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM MORE CHALLENGING OR UNIQUE YOU JUST CRANK THEIR MAX HEALTH UP TO ASTRONOMICAL UNITS!!! IT IS SO EFFING LAZY I'm only 4 or 5 hours into my replay and I'm having a very difficult time finding any redeeming qualities from this game. I honestly should have never bought this game because it ruined A LOT OF NOSTALGIA I had for the series. Note to self, never play sequels before replaying the original. It completely destroys the quality of the original

Honestly you guys just rehashed the original game. Still the same content, Still the same graphics, and most importantly... STILL THE SAME GAME BREAKING GLITCHES!!! I MISSED HALF OF THE CONTENT BECAUSE YOU GUYS COULDN'T ORGANIZE THINGS PROPERLY ENOUGH TO WHERE I COULD COMPLETE QUESTS. LITERALLY OVER HALF OF THE MISSIONS IN MY LOGUE WERE NOT COMPLETABLE BECAUSE I FOUND A PLACE OR OBJECT BEFORE THE MISSION GIVER!!!! HALF THE TIME I DISCOVER A PLACE AND LOOT IT AND GUESS WHAT?? THAT PLACE WAS PART OF A QUESTLINE I CAN NEVER FINISH BECAUSE I FOUND THE PLACE BEFORE I FOUND THE QUEST GIVER. HALF THE TIME NPC'S RELATED TO THE QUESTLINE ABSOLUTELY DISSAPPEAR. TOOK ME 2 IN GAME WEEKS (about 4 hours of checking every square inch of winterhold, even looking for him in his bed during nightime hours) TO FIND ANRIEL GANE!! OH! AND I NEVER FOUND LARS BATTLE-BORN BECAUSE APPARENTLY HE CEASED TO EXIST 20 HOURS INTO THE GAME. AND HE GIVES YOU AN AMULET THAT YOU POSSIBLY COULD HAVE SOLD OFF EARLY GAME!! LITERALLY HALF OF THE PLACES I "DISCOVERED" WERE PART OF A SIDE MISSION I MISSED BY NOT READING THE RIGHT BOOK, PARCHMENT, OR RANDOM NOTE ON A RANDOM NPC, RIGHT BEFORE TALKING TO THE RIGHT NPC AT A SPECIFIC TIME AND/OR LOCATION. THIS GAME NEEDS A GUIDE TO LITERALLY NAVIGATE THE BUGS. GO SHOVE A FLAMING HOT CATTLE PROD UP YOUR EFFING BUMS SERIOUSLY, EITHER BLOCK THE AREA OFF UNTIL WE FIND THE MISSION OR START THE MISSION WHEN WE FIND THE AREA YOU ABSOLUTE F-WADS!!!! YOU SOLD US FISHING ADDONS FOR $20!!! NOT BUYING THE NEXT ELDER SCROLLS UNTIL IT'S WORTH $20 NOW TO GET MY MONEY BACK!!

The game is only 8 hours long and most of it is just a cinema. The story isn't that bad once you start to get into it. The only reason the story sucks is for the fact that you have absolutely no idea what's going on with the plot for the first 5 or 6 hours into the "game." Everyone speaks so vaguely that it's hard to grasp what your actual objective is. Yeah they give you "directives" but you still have no idea why you are doing anything until 10 chapters into it. I would give this a better rating but it's so slow and unengaging that it's a chore to get into until chapter 13. Literally almost the end of the game. Plus I find myself surfing my phone during a lot of cutscenes because they are so boring and dry, or over the top with the emotional acting. I love Santa Monica Studios for making God of War but this was an absolute garbage fire in respects to every other game they've made. Good graphics 👌 mediocre story, but everything else fell flat on its face

Honestly only giving this game a one star because it was so easy to plow through the story yet 90% of content was gigs that were impersonal to the story and literally felt like work than playing a video game. Side missions were alright but it's impossible to make half of them pop up. STOP MAKING MISSIONS THAT POP UP OVER TIME BUT RATHER POP UP DURING ACTS!! YOU LITERALLY HAVE 2 ACTS WHEN YOU COULD HAVE EASILY SPLIT IT INTO 4 OR 5. I'VE PLAYED THIS GAME 3 TIMES TO TRY TO GET THE GOOD CONTENT AND I STILL END UP MISSING HALF OF THE GOOD SIDE MISSIONS 🤬 NOTHING BUT EFFING GIGS 🤬 Tried to romance Judy before the end of the game but literally ran out of things to do before she gave her last mission to romance her. 🤬 I literally played the game for nothing at that point because I wanted to see a different ending in the credits but got nothing!!! I love the story but the delivery this game brought was just absolute garbage. I should have paid $10 for this game. To be honest, Skyrim did a better job with its NPC interactions and this game can barely let you change your camera view without glitching. I'm honestly disappointed in myself for even spending the money that I did on this. Horizon had much more encapsulating emotion and motive. This was just lazy and you guys banked off of Keanu being your fall back. It failed and now I hate Keanu and you. GFY UPDATE: Why wouldn't you add a flashlight or night vision?? This game is impossible to play during the day if in the game it's nighttime!! All in all, you can beat the main story an DLC in 15 hours. Garbage I'm my opinion. Games should be minimum 80% story and 20% side missions. Worst case scenario 50% story and 50% side missions is sometimes acceptable if the story is encapsulating, but it wasn't. Interesting? yes. Captivating? NO! YOU HAVE NO FEELING FOR ANY OF THE CHARACTERS BECAUSE YOU SPEND SO LITTLE TIME WITH THEM!!! CDPR fell flat on your stupid faces with this one. Witcher 3 puts this game to shame any day of the week. Great job messing up what could have been a game of the year

I'm giving this a 1 star because the police chases in this game are absolutely ridiculous. No matter what vehicle you use the cops are always faster. I even got the "Nos" booster perk and they STILL KEEP UP WITH YOU. Then to top it all off they come from every direction so you're forced to zig zag through the city for 20 minutes until you get just far enough away from them that you can run into the middle of a park or hinde in another car if you're lucky KY enough that a civilian doesn't call the police on you for breaking into that car. If it weren't for this one thing this game would be a solid 4/5, but every mission that involves a police chase you literally have to do 1000 times until you get it absolutely perfect or just lucky as F. UPDATE: literally got through most of the game in like 20 hrs only to realize there are intel missions. Sad thing these intel missions are nothing but running to locations and hacking random npcs. Nothing more. Literally no obstacles or anything just you fast traveling or driving to a location to press a button to hack someone. HOW FUN!! It's literally worse than the racing missions. I HATE RACING. It's dumb, repetitive and only has one goal. BE THE FASTEST! How exhilarating! Just going around in circles fighting with other jerks to be first 🤪 racing in real life is fun because it produces adrenaline. Racing in games is stupid because it's been overdone ever sine ce Need for Speed came out in the early 2000's

I would give this a 5 out of five if they didn't have hordes of enemies that swarm you from every side. The "stealth" option rarely works because all it takes is for them to find 1 body and they pull an alarm and everyone goes berserk! Most of the time there's barely anywhere to take cover and even if you do find cover they always surround you from all 4 directions. And towards the end of the game it feels like you can't go ten feet without a helicopter or tank to be on you even if you're just walking around the map. Another thing that was annoying were the amount of anti aircraft points. In FC5 that was the main way to get around all that bad terrain, but they said "Ef you! You gotta take the long way around everywhere!!" Instead of making a million small ones with 2 guards you could have made less of them that are heavier guarded that have A LOT OF RANGE. Any more than 8 and it becomes a nuisance. 2 per region, stick with that! And it would have been much more satisfying if they were tied to missions. Speaking of which, another thing is that literally none of the bases you liberate are tied to any stories. I hate it when you guys force us to go out of our way 100% of the time to clear every base. SOME OF THEM SHOULD BE TIED TO MISSIONS TO MAKE THEM INTERESTING OTHER THAN HAVING A MILLION BASES WITH NO INCENTIVE TO DO THEM OTHER THAN XP, WHICH IS COMPLETELY USELESS BECAUSE ALL THE ENEMIES SCALE WITH YOU!! And lastly you guys took away the perks and swapped it out for gear. Most of which gear doesn't even seem to help even though I made specific builds for specific situations. AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON "SOFT SHELL" ROUNDS! If a .50 caliber bullet can rip through a tank it would put a hole the size of a grapefruit into ANYONE NOT WEARING ARMOR! But SOMEHOW the puny weaklings with no armor can take more damage than the armored up dudes? Pathetic and unrealistic. Oh and it takes 4 RPGs to take down ONE tank or helicopter? RPG's were literally DESIGNED FOR THAT! Other than those many annoyances the story is phenomenal! Almost as good and engaging as far cry 5..... ALMOST!
