The story hurt in a lot of ways and I have felt pretty unsettled since I finished a few weeks ago. That being said, it’s RARE for an entertainment medium to actually impact me personally. Not the story I particularly asked for or wanted, but I can’t deny the power that it now holds. Ellie was compelling and I went from pouting at playing with Abby to having my own sort of bond with her. The diversity was beautiful and I think naughty dog really showed some BDE by actually pulling all of this off in such a bizarre little toxic-sounding community. The AI is mind blowing and the gameplay was way better than I deserved! My only qualm is I thought the last story arc was a bit rushed. Not enough of a ding to bring it down a star I would just like to know more about what the heck that was all about. All in all I think the long game was kind of a bang for my buck and I hope to explore some more aggressive gameplay on my next run through. One little lol was staying away from all the social media and then finally being so relieved when some of the characters in the game would mention how strong Abby was or her arms. Her buff arms were like the elephant in the room for a hot second! I hope other people like me enjoy it
