Great acting from Bale and Melling, a decent plot, and so much potential with some brilliant moments. But overall was lacking engagement. The pace and flow of the story just seem slightly rushed and not fully explored. Enjoyed it for the most part and worth a watch.

On release it was unplayable on xbox one. Returned it immediately. Got a PS5 last year and waited for the next-gen update to arrive a couple weeks ago and now I can't put this game down. I can't speak for previous gen consoles, but if you have a PS5, Series X, or PC and are contemplating buying this game, DO IT. This is the product that should've been available on launch.

Lazy and uninspired. Just finished the story mode "Golf Adventure"... not a single moment of it grabbed my attention. No noteworthy interactions, the unlockable clubs are hardly worth purchasing, seems like it was built for 10 year olds. The story feels hollow the entire playthrough. Got the platinum badge and then the credits roll. No build up, no anticipation. This is a $15 game at best. Could be fun if youre wasted with youre friends, but otherwise there is 0 replayability. Finished the story in less than 8 hours.
