As somebody who loves to game, but also flies in real life and builds simple and more complex flight simulators, the game is an absolute disappointment. I understand; everybody just wants to get out and fly, and for that it's great, if you get passed the massive install and bugs, but the Aircrafts lack a lot of features that real pilots or even advanced enthusiasts use. If you have realistic hardware, like G1000s, GTN 750s or anything else, forget about them for a while if you are running this game.
The built in Avonics are basically incomplete! All of the "praise" I saw came mostly from gamers just playing around with the Aircraft and not really anything more serious. I HAVE NO CLUE what the HELL Microsoft was thinking. After seeing so many Add-ons by companies like Carenado, Flight1, PMDG, etc, and then all that's included in X-Plane, why would you launch such a limited Simulator? I get it, the graphics are great, but even with all the hype, you get more realistic sceneries and airports with add-ons for the older sims. Multi-monitor support is limited; no 2D instruments, no pop-outs, etc. Even the G1000 has tons of features in FSX which are not available in 2020. The only two stars I give are for graphics, and the handling of the Aircraft seems to be a bit better, especially taxiing.
Very disappointed.
