It's a mystery whether Klausner heard some sounds or not, but I would like to believe that he heard those sounds so that people can learn the importance of plants. The sound machine by Roald Dahl combines science fiction carrying an underline message of conservation. The obsession for the sounds heard make it even more interesting to read. This story is literally a delight that arouse awareness as well as sympathy for the plants. A better step to prevent deforestation.
