Very beautifully made film.
Brought back great cricketing memories of my childhood (1983), when i was 12 years old.
A very difficult movie to make, especially creating the Lord's background for the final. Also creating the great West Indies team.
The bowling actions of the great West Indian fast bowlers (Roberts, Garner, Holding and Marshall), alongwith our own Kapil, Sandhu, Binny, Madan, Mohinder were so close to the actual actions; even the batting of the great Viv Richards, Gavaskar, Yaspal Sharma, Sandeep Patil were as if we were transported back to 1983. Kudos to the hardwork of the entire production team of 83.
The interposing of actual action (from 1983 world cup) with that of the movie action, was a very innovative idea.
Yashpal's innings, Mohinder Amarnath semi-final and final man of the match performances, Sandeep Patil's strokes, Balwinder Singh Sandhu's wicket of Greenidge in final, Kapil's match saving 175 against Zimbabwe; and finally Kapil's catch of Viv Richards from Madan Lal bowling in final; are fantastically portrayed memories.
Finally a beautiful film to watch with grandparents, parents, friends, family and children and relive old memories.
A very nice movie which makes you happy and enthusiastic during this tough Covid times.
