this show portrayed a realistic picture of the reality of the character’s situation - the forbidden love with teenagers. this show made an excellent way of showing this because it didn’t sexualize Willhelm and Simon’s relationship and didn’t make it unrealistic. whether it being the emotion the actors portrayed, the uncensored acne and panic attacks, to the overall mood created by the production. it was relatable which allows for the audience to connect to the characters and feel like it could happen to themselves, which is the point of shows because we want to see ourselves portrayed in big shows.
