After watching this film in theaters years ago and several times afterward, there has never been any form of media then or since that has evoked such strong emotion in me. From the compelling story and character development to the (mostly) scientifically accurate depiction of black holes and other phenomenon to the absolutely incredible soundtrack, this masterpiece will live on in my mind as one of the greatest movies in history. After the film had concluded in the theater, my parents had turned to me to guage my reaction, and I was in tears. As a musician with a wild imagination and a fascination for the stars, this motion picture is very nearly perfect in my eyes.

Fantastic special effects. Lots of fan service, which is certainly okay especially in a Star Wars film. That's about all I enjoyed. The characters were okay, but predictable and one-dimentional. Actors did what they could with what they had. Plenty of plot holes leaving out details that anyone paying attention would have questions about. Altogether, felt very rushed.
