I'm not into art and all that (at least in the traditional sense as it's being depicted in this movie) but I quite enjoyed Velvet Buzzsaw. It's a mix of a few different genres but I consider it a horror film, one that would have fit quite nicely back in the 90's or 80's even for some reason. Jake Gyllenhaal always gives solid performances in everything he's in and commits to every role 100% but playing the gay guy? He may have over-commited to this one a little bit and honestly I think it would have been better if he's character was straight (you don't have to be gay to be flamboyant). All in all the movie is an awesome concept in my opinion regardless of whether it was trying to saying something bigger about the art world or not.
