That Wendy Moten did not win The Voice is laughable. She was clearly head and shoulders above the rest of the pack - after all, she has been a professional performer singing with some of the top entertainers while recording albums of her own for the past 30 years. She was flawless and her voice is sensational. She has been in the business longer than most of the judges and they displayed their reverence and openly stated that they could learn from her. That result last night was both shocking and insulting. It appears that the blush is off the rose. The Voice is not what it portends to be, but rather merely a cut above community auditions at your local Middle School. In recent years it has become a showcase for ostentatious performers masquerading as judges, who, like last night, recognized that the contestant was more skilled than themselves.
