I love everything Phillip Pullman writes and have followed Lyra through all her trials. I struggled at first with her no longer being a child in this book but came to terms with that, although I don't feel the same empathy for her. The thing I really missed was her companionship with Pan. I will read the next part but mainly in the hope of seeing them reunited.
