I find the NBC coverage of these Olympics to be boring, disrespectful and lazy. Boring because those deciding apparently think only a very few sports and athletes deserve primetime coverage. We've won medals in sports that have barely gotten a sentence of acknowledgement while every lap of swimming has been shown in prime time (thank God for fast forward). Lazy, because instead of showing all of the other sports and medal winning performances in the 3-4 hours of primetime extra, the producers decided we need to see a repeat of the same coverage shown in the primetime coverage. That is a lot of time every day that could be used to feature performances in all of the other events going on. Disrespectful because all of the athletes in all of the sports have worked just as hard and made the same sacrifices as the very few that are featured endlessly, and all deserve to be recognized for their huge accomplishments in getting to the Olympics. Showing only certain sports and medal winning performances is disrespectful to everyone else including all of the fans at home and around the world. If I couldn't record and fast forward I would have stopped watching days ago.
