This movie is my all-time favorite movie in the Conjuring Universe and quite frankly it is my new favorite horror movie. I credit myself as an aspiring writer, so I always critique a movie such as this off of what I would or would not write, and there's not a scene in this film that I cannot see myself writing. Perhaps as some have said it is not as scary as some of the others, but the characters are likable, the pacing is spot on. The movie has a fun atmospheric feel to it and it makes you care about the characters. If you are looking for gore, death and blood, look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a good, fun and spooky film then this is the film for you. GREAT MOVIE! Don't listen to the naysayers!
