I don't know how many seasons of episodes I watched, but after a while, I regret spending so much time watching very flawed characters lying, cheating, stealing and murdering. It was almost as bad as our political life for the past four-five years. Maybe I continued watching with the hopes that, all of a sudden, they would all get whacked. OK, the character portrayals and acting was convincing at times, with a little too much facial freeze shots, smoking, drinking and screaming curses. Any socially redeeming value? Naw.

Thoroughly enjoyable, heartwarming series with interesting and realistically portrayed characters. I am also a seventy-five year old ballet dancer. However, I cheated and started at the youthful age of fifty-five. The ballet aspects of this tale may not trigger emotional connections with all, but they are realistic and meaningful if you have any physical training like yoga, tai chi, kung fu or Salsa dancing. The sweet and sometimes rocky family relations lend realism to the tale, with tear provoking sentimentaly positive outcomes. Even if I will befall the ravages of Alsheimers disease, I hope the muscle memory affords me the comfort of remembering the feelings of grace, movement and joy. I much appreciate all the hard work and talent as well as the great story that was Navillera.

Just half-way through the series in November 2020. The great acting and suspenseful story have me emotionally hooked. The bad news is that the character of Choi Young-do reminds me of the behavior of a younger Donald Trump. The story felt unreal at first with the students being self-centered, immature and petty. After fours years with our now defeated president, I realized that my frustration, disbelief and anger toward some of the characters was mostly misplaced anger toward Trump and his sycophants. The most frustrating was the fellings of impotence one can feel under the thumb of the rich, powerful, unempathic heads of government and business. I will enjoy the series to the end and try not to throw objects and food at the TV. Keep up the good work.

What impresses me about a series is how well it draws me in, emotionally and intellectually. Five stars comes as a result of a believable story line, interesting situations, conflicts resolutions and empathy. The natural relatability of the characters is testiment to their great acting skills. With a tissue box near, for both happy moments and tragic ones, I was totally absorbed in the multiple story lines. I was sad to see this series end. I think it would have been proper, at least, for me to have a beer with the characters. Thank you, gamsahbnida.

Suspending disbelief. The representation of complex emotions and depth of beliefs and actions grab my heart and stimulate my thoughts. The actors express genuiness and authenticity. They hold true to their characters and each belong in the story line. My first professional job was in a Psychiatric hospital that was a model for "One Flew Over The Cockoo Nest". Different story, but I can easily relate to OK hospital. I really love the Psychiatrist's sense of humor, humanity and down to earth advice. He plays a Psychiatrist on TV, and does it better than many real Doc's. Of course the main couple play complicate layers of history, beliefs and emotions with incredible skill. Next episode can't come soon enough. Best wishes.
