Good production value, overall good acting although with some hard to understand accents from some actors. Its clear that some of the actors don't use English in their daily lives and they sound monotone.
There are a lot of inaccurate parts and some missing important figures. For example, Mehmed II's mother wasn't unknown. Her name is "Hüma Hatun" and she was a Christian slave girl.
I really like the costumes and production design. I'm not sure how accurate they are but they don't look out of place.

One of the reviewers pointed out with great certainty that it was the Byzantine Empire that fought the Ottomans and not the Romans, as it is described in the show by the scholars. However Byzantine Empire at the time called themselves Eastern Roman Empire, and the name Byzantine wasn't used until the Renaissance.
