Don’t take the movie so seriously everybody! It’s tongue-in-cheek but a celebration of the best music ever. It’s a musical so yes, they break out in song.

Every time it comes on cable I can’t help but sit and watch it again, and again. Always love seeing Dennis Quaid in anything, and it’s refreshing to see a good drama in a world of mostly superhero movies.
