I found the book disappointing on many levels. The characters depicted were all sad, depressed and very lonely. She also through in the bizarre occupation of the daughter, Lisa, as a dominatrix , sticking needles in men’s penises.??? Did we need to hear that? The book made me sad and depressed regarding what old age looks like . I love this writer , but this book was one of her worst.
