Marvelous story-telling. There's quite a bit going on here, from Sylvando's attempts at reconciliation through ?'s hard lessons about fidelity and duty, through the sisters' loss and rededication. And more. My beef with the protagonist's woodenness--sort of a Dragon Quest staple--is largely swept away by the development of the others. The skill choices allow for some variety in development during the middle parts, if not so much in the end for those of us who over-level. The menuing and controls are easy and become second-nature. And the fun-size forge (item creation and upgrading) and casinos are enjoyable mini-games.
