Saw that the reviews are good and I went to watch with my kids. But it was quite disappointing. The storyline is confusing and nothing stands out like other Disney animations. Even my 9yrs old said it is not good as we anticipated. When I wrote the review on Facebook that I did not enjoy this movie, a few Colombians angrily responded that I did not know their culture. Aren’t the movies supposed to be entertaining across culture or nations?? I like Coco and Moana so much. Unfortunately for Encanto, it seems like only who knew Columbians history or culture would relate to this Story and could fully enjoy it. I have to give my honest review as a Disney fan that Encanto really is a disappointment.
