I had zero expectations going in, but really enjoyed it. Brie Larson has some great budding swagger and her friendship/comic rapport with Samuel Jackson was fantastic. Also it was easily the best use of him as Nick Fury by a looong shot, which was a joy to see. About damn time! Personally I thought it was one of the best character introduction movies Marvel has done, and by the end I could see exactly why theyre using Captain Marvel as a pivot into Phase 4. Its time for some fresh energy and she brings it!
