Garbage, waste of time. A storyteller definitely has license to do what she/be wants, but that's not always a good or fair thing for the viewer. There is no description or explanation whatsoever for why the family gets sick in this movie. If your creative license involves leaving huge gaps in the plot simply because you want the story to be opaque, "artful," or for whatever other reason, you're a failure. You can get messages, points, emotions, etc. across while also ushering your viewer to an ending with some notion of resolution. It doesn't have to be spelled out, but at least give us the letters. This was a total waste of two hours.
