Jane Austen with a twist. Loved this adaptation. Entertaining, endearing characters. Her family’s flaws made even more obvious and comical with each of Anne’s expressions directed our way. Beautifully done.

I FF’d through all the parts with new cast members because I didn’t like any of them. The only bright spot so far? Steve doing well for himself without his insipid ex and the appearance of Aidan. Please kill this show. Kim (Samantha) was smart to stay away. You had a formula in SAS that worked and you messed with it. No thanks. No more for me.

I adore Leslie Jordan, loved Mayim in Big Bang and Swoozie in Mike and Molly. I was a HUGE fan of the BBC show this is based on, Miranda. Here comes the big BUT... it feels like Mayim is simply imitating Miranda Hart; not making this character her own. I can’t see myself tuning in again and that makes me sad. I love all these actors. But their talents are wasted on this show. It just doesn’t work. ☹️

The earlier version of Emma with Gwyneth Paltrow captures Jane Austen’s humor and sense of irony perfectly. This one leaves you flat. Miranda Hart was the only bright spot. Disappointing at best.

Moves along at a snail’s pace. I watched for thirty minutes, couldn’t take it anymore and switched to something else.
