Damon Lindelof was presented with an opportunity to contribute to and influence an amazing and complex comic book story. A story that inspired his own past work. And he has gathered the trusted resources to make it great. Watchmen is an homage and a triumph. I love it! It’s has all of the tone and complexity of the comic that I read as a young adult. What’s surreal to me is recalling that I read Toni Morrison’s book “Beloved” and “Watchmen” around the same time in the late 80’s. I found a similar tone in both of those stories. So this tv show adaptation’s starting point is particularly interesting.
