A pleasant surprise. While tonally I found the end unsatisfying, Archive is still worth a look. Top notch effects, performances, and a thought provoking premise.

The Cowboys is my favorite John Wayne film. A seriously underrated western.

A well directed and acted suspense thriller.

I can’t begin to describe how awesome The Devil Rides Out is. Director Terence Fisher swings for the bleachers. Three friends reunite to fight a satanic cult. There are plenty of special effects, including a giant spider. However, Charles Gray (as the villain) and Christopher Lee (in a rare performance as the hero) are the best special effects of all. How much each actor is able to convey with a word or simple gesture is breathtaking. The Devil Rides Out is one helluva a ride.

Juliette Lewis’ shines in one of her best performances. Overall, Kelly & Cal is a pleasant surprise.
