TERRIBLE! Wish I could give it 0 Stars This is the first book review I’ve ever written. But. I had to do this review of The Cellist. I have been a fan of Daniel Silva for many years & read all of his books. However, this book was terrible. The first 2/3 of the book were slow & boring. It was a very formulaic Gabriel Allon book with nothing new or exciting. There was way too much time spent on discussing money laundering transfers. It seemed like just page fillers. However, then the book got even worse. Silva started bashing Trump and promoting the “Russia Hoax”. It was straight out of CNN, MSNBC, etc. He praised Biden for saving our Democracy. It certainly was insulting to half of the US that believes that the Democrats are ruining this country. Biden is not bringing the country together as Silva states. Trump supported Israel more than any US President, but he has Allon bashing him and praising the people that gave pallets of cash to Iran and are trying to bring back the Iran deal to the detriment of Israel and the world. This will be the last Daniel Silva book I will ever read since he is more interested in promoting his politics than entertaining his readers.
