Fantastic writing and acting. "What happened here will happen again." Powerful ending.

Not your average coming of age teen horror, thankfully. This film was so much morbid fun and visually exciting! Loved Coles performance.

What a trip. It's like being in a dream the whole time and it takes you back to what it's like as a kid trusting the world around you but knowing something is off. Horrific and extremely unsettling. I loved it.

Due to not wanting to spoil the show for anyone who hasn't seen it, all I can say is that as a Dexter fan I was completely disappointed and regretted watching it. Wish they hadn't made it. Dexter ended perfectly in season 8 and this reboot just killed the thrill of it all.

What a waste. This film was so bland, not even the characters and acting could save it.

The action scenes are fantastic and the series stays true to the original concept and storylines. It loses stars for poor casting and performances from those cast members and for the relationship between Chief and Makee. It makes no sense for Chief to have a love interest at all, let alone Makee, and the romantic scene itself seemed completely unnatural. For me it was these things that ruined the experience.

No spoilers. I really enjoyed this film but feel it falls quite short of fan expectations. It lacks a lot of what we fell in love with regarding this franchise - the comedy for starters. That being said, I still enjoyed it and liked the fact that it's wasn't predictable. Lots of blood and gore and plenty of chilling scenes to keep you on edge. The characters suffering being a tight knit family with the loving mother getting possessed made it all the more unsettling. Definitely worth the watch, although my final thoughts are that although this film is memorable, it's not a fav in the franchise not does it really compare.

Fun horror with a stellar cast.

I feel like this movie only got bad reviews because of who directed it. I've seen way worse films give better reviews.

The concept is brilliant and frightening but that demanded better script writing and the writing is terrible.
