The two stars are obviously for the decent cast that this movie had. The lack of three Stars comes from the, “boy, ize so’s tied of all dis here slave massa typa tawkin”. None of the language sounds authentic. I mean I could handle Samuel L. Jackson because he spoke the same in the hateful eight and the other actors pretty much made up for that, but nothing about these actors’ voice seemed authentic. It’s too forced. Takes away from me wanting to actually learn what the movie is about. I had to cut it off. Cringe.

This movie warms my heart. The cast was absolutely perfect. Though I’m not a big fan of Dane Cook, he was a good addition to this movie. I watched it three times in one day. Just to let it run in the background and listen. Beautiful movie that feels like what real life and love should be.

Not worth the watch. They mix languages with sentences half Spanish/English. Makes no sense as to why. 1 star because I can’t give zero
